Welcome to Mrs. Strickland's 5th Grade ELA classroom website!  I am so excited about this year in the fifth grade!  This will be my sixteenth year teaching in Columbia County, and I am so proud to continue working with the fifth grade team and students!  I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master's degree in Instruction and Curriculum, and an Educational Specialist degree in Advanced Curriculum Studies - all from Augusta University.  I am Reading and Gifted endorsed and a teacher consultant with The National Writing Project.

My husband Scott and I have two children, Luke (11) and Ruby (9).  We also have a two-year-old golden retriever, Midas, who we love to pieces!  Teaching is a passion of mine, and I love seeing my students progress from the beginning of the year to the end!
