Riverside Elementary Clubs

 

Beta Club*

The National Beta Club is a non-profit, educational organization for RES students in fifth grade. The club's mission is to recognize students for their academic achievements, character, leadership, and service. The club's motto is "Let Us Lead by Serving Others". Students are identified in the spring of their 4th grade year based on their academic achievement and character. Students that have an overall grade average within the top 10% of the entire grade level will be extended an invitation to join BETA club.

Time: 4:010-4:40

Dates: 9/9, 10/21, 12/16, 1/13, 2/24, 3/17, 4,21

Location: Learning Commons or Art Room

 

Chorus*

The Riverside Elementary Chorus provides an additional opportunity for 4th and 5th grade students who enjoy  singing to come together to enrich their musical creativity and skills by performing at numerous school and community events.

Sponsor – Mrs. Tucker

Time –7:50-8:30

Dates: Tuesday - 4th / Thursday-5th 

Please note Mrs. Tucker will let parents know  through Remind if there are any schedule changes.

Location: Music Room

 

Safety Patrol*

Riverside Elementary Safety Patrol help to ensure school safety for our students during afternoon dismissal. Students are nominated in the spring of fourth grade to join the fifth-grade safety patrol team. A different team serves each quarter of the year.

Sponsor: Dr. Hansen

Time: 3:40-4:10

Dates: daily

Location: school building

 

5th Grade 4-H Club

Riverside Elementary 4-H helps assits our students in forming the attitudes that will enable them to become productive and contibuting members of society by following their head, heart, hands and health.

Sponsors- Mrs. Childress, Mrs. Cutchins, Mrs. Long, Mrs. Strickland

Time: during the day as scheduled by 4-H

Dates: set by 4-H

Location: cafeteria whole grade or classroom as decided by 4-H
